![]() My Apple Pencil was out of battery when I wanted to start this, so I actually worked on how I can recreate my new pencil + watercolour cutout style in Photoshop, using my Wacom tablet. So, I actually made this last one the day I’m writing this! I kind of thought I had longer to make this, but turns out the last “week” of June was only two days. Also sometimes people would take out the tent pegs during the night and the entire tent would fall on our faces. Worst part: Got really hot in the morning if they were in a sunny spot. Best part about them: the sound of rain against the fabric. Also those orange tents are so cute to draw? When I was a scout we actually had those exact tents for most of the summer camps I went on. ![]() But I don’t work high res in Procreate as my iPad can’t really handle it!Īnyway, I absolutely looove the look of the pencil lines in this. The technical pencil is quite small though, so it’s not great for any high res files imo. I’ve loved 6B pencil for a while, but it’s not as round!! Round is so nice. Cheyenne mentioned in that video that they “like how round it is” and I FULLY AGREE. ![]() (Inspired by Cheyenne’s process in this video.) Basically my process for this was using some kind of opaque brush to block out the shapes, lock the alpha for those layers, layer watercolour textures on top using MaxPack Watercolour brushes and then go wild with the technical pencil. And aaah, here comes my absolute favourite drawing I’ve made I think ever? This was also the first time I experimented with using the technical pencil in Procreate on top of the watercolour textures.
